RGN Capital Grants Call for projects closing 3rd October 2016

The two Rural Growth Network grant programmes, which opened for applications on the 29th July are closing on:

12 noon on Monday 3rd October 2016.

If you are a rural business with clear growth plans to create new jobs, you can apply for capital investment to help expand productivity or diversify into new markets or products.

Grants of £10,000 to £60,000 are available for expansion or improvements to business premises or to assist with the purchase of capital plant and equipment.

Infrastructure grants of £40,000 to £500,000 are also available for:

• creation of multiple business units, including enterprise hubs - where a need is demonstrated;
• site preparation works to unlock economic development sites – where an end user is in place;
• large scale, strategic, tourism projects creating significant overnight stays and day visitors and identified in an approved Tourism Destination Management Plan.

Both grants cover up to 40% of eligible costs and are subject to State Aids. Businesses are invited to submit Stage 1 Expressions of Interest by 3rd October 2016. Selection will be through a competitive process.
